ABOUT
Hi! I'm Charlotte and I am a Costume Design graduate from Nottingham Trent University. I've always been very interested by fashion and design, especially since I began sewing around the age of 10, designing and creating tiny clothes for my toy cat. Later on, I worked on costumes for school theatre shows before studying Textiles and Art at A Level. I then went on to do a Foundation Degree in Art and Design. I enjoy creating shapes from unconventional materials, such as paper and plastic, as well as designing visually exciting garments. I recently worked with artist Bruce Asbestos on a fine art/fashion project which involved helping create a clothing collection inspired by the story of Hansel and Gretel, which included gateau shoes and a giant wearable plait. My most recent project involved incorporating light components into garments for a modern day adaption of The Firework Maker's Daughter.
When I'm not sewing or creating outfits from food, I like rock climbing, creating digital drawings and learning Korean.
